The almost entirely pictoral fursuit tutorial: Putting fur on the head
Why are we putting saran wrap on our head?
Because when you cut it off, it makes a pattern
Here's a muzzle pattern piece, face down, on fur
The same piece, all traced
And cut out
And being sewn up
You sew the ears into this bit
I sort of make up the back as I go. It usually looks like of like this:
I also make up a little bit to go under the chin
Speaking of chins, here it is, with the fur hot-glued on
And here's the edges being glued in place. That's all it needs, really
Isn't that pretty?
Just one more thing, glue down around the eyes. Hot glue would make a mess, so this is glued with craf glue, and pinned while it sets. Oh, and I screw the jaw back into place, and hook up the rubber bands again, and sew the back of the head and the chin flap together, but I forgot to get pictures of all that. You can probably figure it out though. Next, Making hand paws |
